PLANNING PHASE
 In the planning phase:
• Client needs and strengths are considered
• Priorities are stipulated
• Specific goals and objectives are stated, including the expected time for achievement
• Specific activities or programs are selected as means to achieve goals and objectives
• Responsibilities for helping the client are determined
• An evaluation plan is agreed upon so both the when and how of evaluation are made clear.
When this phase has been completed, the TR specialist and client have a personalized TR program designed to meet the client’s needs.

Objectives:
To make sure that your objectives include a performance, condition, and a list of criteria, ask yourself the following questions to test your objective:
1. “What is the main intent of the objective?”
2. “What does the learner have to do to demonstrate achievement of the objective?”
3. “What will the learner have to do it with, or to it? And what, if anything, will the learner have to do without?”
4. “How will we know when the performance is good enough to be considered acceptable?”
