I learned a lot about how people must feel when they have cancer. I really liked what Brianna Mercado said about life “I would rather live a life of ‘oh wells’ than a life of ‘what if’s’”. I feel like that is something that people forget until they get faced with something like cancer. Everyone has a passion whether that’s dancing, cycling, or weightlifting. Cancer or any time of disease shouldn’t stop anyone’s progress in their passion. As a TRS, it is important for me to know what they are feeling when they have cancer. These people might feel hopeless and scared and by being aware of those feelings, I can help them overcome them. I think it’s important for a TRS to help people see that a disease doesn’t limit them. They may not be able to do something all at once, such as Danny wasn’t able to pick up a 450 pound weight again right away, but they can get there. I really liked what the cyclist said about her healing being a competition. Even if they just compete with themselves, it will make them want to work harder and be better every day. By helping client’s find their passion, I can help them have a goal or a motive to fight their
